Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how APPRO DIGITAL LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, of Broadstairs, Kent, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use the RALLY Padel: AI Coach mobile application ("RALLY", the "App"). We are the data controller for the processing described here.
The short version: RALLY has no accounts. We don't ask for your email, we don't build a profile of you on our servers, and we don't sell data or show ads. Your training data lives on your device; when you use AI features, the necessary content is processed by our backend and AI provider to generate your coaching, and usage counters are kept against a random device identifier.
1. Information We Process
Stored on your device only. Your profile details (name, skill level, side preference, goals, training frequency), chat history, training plans, session history, readiness check-ins, badges, and progress data are stored locally on your device. We do not maintain copies of these on our servers.
Processed to provide AI features. When you use AI features, the relevant content is sent to our backend (hosted on Cloudflare) and passed to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response:
- Coach chat: your messages, recent conversation history, and a summary of your player context (e.g. level, goals, recent sessions, today's readiness).
- Video analysis: still frames extracted from your video, downscaled before sending. Your full video is never uploaded — only sampled frames needed for the analysis.
- Training plans: your player context and preferences.
These requests are processed to generate your result and are not used by us to build profiles. We have configured our AI usage so that your content is not used to train AI models.
-
Device identifier: the App generates a random identifier on installation (not your name, email, Apple ID, or advertising ID). Our backend uses it to enforce fair-use limits and track credit balances. It cannot identify you personally to us.
-
Purchases: subscriptions and credit packs are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage entitlements. We receive transaction information (e.g. product purchased, timestamps, anonymised identifiers) but never your payment card details, name, or billing address.
What we don't collect: no email or account details, no contacts, no precise location, no advertising identifiers, no tracking across other companies' apps or websites. We do not use third-party advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs.
2. Why We Process It (Legal Bases under UK GDPR)
- Performance of a contract: providing the coaching, analysis, planning, and purchase features you request.
- Legitimate interests: enforcing fair-use limits, preventing abuse and fraud, maintaining the security and reliability of the service, and improving the App using aggregate, non-identifying technical data.
- Legal obligation: where we must retain or disclose information to comply with law.
3. Our Processors
We share data only with the service providers needed to run RALLY, under their respective data protection terms:
| Provider | Role | Data involved | |---|---|---| | Cloudflare | Backend hosting and security | AI requests in transit; device identifier; usage counters and credit balances | | Anthropic | AI processing | Chat content, player context summaries, video frames (to generate responses; not used for model training) | | RevenueCat | Purchase validation | Anonymised purchase/transaction data | | Apple | App distribution and billing | Handled under Apple's own terms and privacy policy |
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
4. International Transfers
Some of our processors operate outside the UK, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred internationally, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses, as applicable to each provider.
5. Retention
- Content stored on your device remains until you delete it or the App.
- AI processing requests are transient: our backend does not maintain a store of your chat messages or video frames; our AI provider handles API data under its retention terms (which restrict use and do not permit training on your content).
- Usage counters and credit balances associated with your random device identifier are retained while relevant to operating the service (e.g. current allowances and abuse prevention).
- Purchase records are retained as required for accounting and legal purposes.
6. Deleting Your Data
In Profile → Delete my data you can erase local data on your device and instruct our backend to clear the usage counters and credit balances held against your device identifier. Deleting the App from your device removes locally stored data. Note that deleting data does not cancel an active subscription — manage subscriptions in your device Settings.
7. Your Rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights including: access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing based on legitimate interests. Because RALLY holds minimal personal data server-side (a random device identifier and usage counters), many rights can be exercised directly through the in-app deletion tools. For anything else, contact us at contact@appro.digital.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority: ico.org.uk.
8. Children
RALLY is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly process personal data of children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the App in a way that involved providing personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. Security
Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Backend access is protected by application keys and platform security controls, and API credentials are stored as encrypted secrets. No system is perfectly secure, but we design the App to hold as little personal data as possible in the first place — the best protection we can offer is not collecting it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notice in the App.
